Formed in 1965 in London, English band Pink Floyd rose to prominence thanks to a uniquely psychedelic approach to rock. Thirty years later, the group released the live album Pulse, recorded during the European section of 1994’s Division Bell Tour. Unlike their previous live albums, Pulse featured tracks directly from the stage, with no follow-ups or fixes made later in-studio. 

Featuring a completely live version of “The Dark Side of the Moon,” Pulse also includes notable hits like rarely-played “Astronomy Domine,” iconic “Comfortably Numb,” and the radio-standard “Wish You Were Here (Live).” Even with prohibitively expensive packaging – featuring a battery-powered pulsing light – Pulse still debuted at number one on the Billboard charts.
