Formed in 1965 around London, England, Pink Floyd is known for their progressive and psychedelic music. The band is known for their philosophical lyrics, experimentation, extended compositions, and elaborate live shows. The band’s keyboardist, Richard Wright, asked the group to do something “clean, elegant and graphic,” and they delivered with the unmistakable prism, which is symbolic of the record’s story and lyrics.
