Pink Floyd formed in Cambridge, England in 1965 and is regarded as one of the greatest bands in rock and roll history. The progressive band got its start by performing covers of American R&B songs, and it was vocalist Syd Barrett who moved the group into psychedelic rock. Surreal lyrics and experimental keyboard sounds mark the signature sound of Pink Floyd.
The band’s tenth studio album, Animals, was recorded in England in 1976. The concept for Animals is loosely based on the political tale Animal Farm by George Orwell. Pink Floyd’ the Animals Tour featured some of the band’s most elaborate theatrics, including massive inflatable puppets and waterfalls. Animals peaked at number 3 the U.S. charts and has been described as “an uncomfortable taste of reality” in music.
Inspired by the casual and cool vibe of Southern California, this crop has a modest cut and a length that hits just below the belly button with a finished hem and neck binding. This silhouette is perfect to elevate your everyday casual wear.
