David Robert Jones, known professionally as David Bowie was an English singer-songwriter and actor. He chose Bowie after the Bowie knife because it cuts both ways.
He was a leading figure in the music industry and has been considered by many to be one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. His career is marked by chaptered reinvention and visual presentation. During his lifetime, his record sales estimated at 140 million albums worldwide with ten platinum album certifications, eleven gold, and eight silver.
Released in 1972, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders of Mars debuted the stage character Ziggy Stardust – crafted by the legendary David Bowie – alongside his backing band, re-christened The Spiders of Mars. Born out of songs first imagined while recording 1971’s Hunky Dory, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars ended up as a sort of loose concept album, detailing the misadventures of alien rocker Ziggy Stardust.
This fitted tee features a crew neck, set-in collar 1×1 Baby Rib and a tear away label. It has a slightly longer torso and it’s pre-washed to prevent shrinking. It’s made from 100% combed ring spun cotton, with the exception of Heather Grey, which is made from 90% cotton and 10% poly. Care Instructions: Machine wash cold. Do not bleach. Tumble dry low.
